It’s not about whether this, or that person is personally offended- but the accumulation of culturally appropriative practices within our Western society that create a culture in which white folks refuse to recognize their privilege and see other cultures as fair game to use as they wish. It contributes to larger fucked-up systems of racism, oppression and white supremacy and it’s no good at all.
